Born From a Belief

Bough Homes was born from frustration with the status quo. Too many new homes are built to the minimum standard the law requires — and not a millimetre more. They're built quickly, cheaply, and with little thought for the people who will spend their lives inside them.
We set out to do things differently. We use eco-friendly materials — hempcrete, sustainably sourced timber, natural lime renders — not because we have to, but because they produce homes that are genuinely better to live in. Warmer in winter, cooler in summer, quieter, healthier, and more beautiful.
But a home is more than four walls. We design every development around the community it will create — with edible gardens, wildlife ponds, dog walks, and communal spaces where neighbours become friends. We believe that where you live shapes how you live, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Hempcrete absorbs CO₂ as it cures and continues to do so throughout its life. Combined with natural lime renders and sustainably sourced timber, our homes have a fraction of the carbon footprint of conventional construction.
